nim-api cdt_build.c 311 ERROR: Cannot find cdt table -discoverbuild failed

If you get an error like below when a discovery fails or when the daily discovery tries to run:

You can fix it by going to:

  1. “ADMINISTRATION” tab
  2. “Network Discovery” section
  3. “Manage Devices” page
  4. “SNMP Entity Management” panel
  5. Then find all the “Cisco Call Stats” and “Interface - Cisco NBAR” devices with an “INDEX” with ~ on the end and delete them.

To find them:

  1. Select the data type in the “SELECT DATA TYPE” box
  2. Then put “~ ” (<tilde><space>) in the “GLOBAL SEARCH” box
  3. Then select the device/s with the tick box/es
  4. Then “Actions” > “Delete”

After this the discoveries should work again.

This problem only occurs after 5-6000 discoveries have been run.

We have an overall fix for this issue that will be in a future version and after the “delete” it should be 5-6000 discoveries before the issue reoccurs.
